Rebecca Myerson

University of Chicago, Harris School of Public Policy

Rebecca Myerson is a first year PhD student at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, where her field of focus is econometrics. She is interested in quantitative methods for evaluating the health impacts of government policies and international programs, and is delighted to be part of the Heckman team evaluating Seguro Popular, a health insurance scheme for the poor in Mexico.

Before coming to Chicago, Rebecca spent four years conducting global health research, including one year at Peking University as a Fulbright scholar and three years at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation in Seattle, Washington.

Rebecca holds a BA in psychology from Harvard, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Washington.
